NEW SONG stylised “DArkside” following alongside earlier releases of “AmEN” and “LosT” Released on Friday 13th October 2023, the Sheffield crew teased us with another single off their album “neX Gen” originally planned to drop in September , pushed back “There’s still so many little details I want to be perfect , and until its nailed , I’m not willing to give it to you guys .” stated Oli Sykes lead singer of BMTH. 


 

Despite pushing back, the release of their new album Bring Me The Horizon have not failed to impress us with their absolute bangers of new singles, latest single “DArkside” has blown fans away with hard hitting lyrics, pure emotion and heavy feel song. The new track was teased earlier this month alongside the band’s artwork, within a mailing list sent to Bring Me The Horizons die-hard fans, the anticipating wait so worth it as fans describe the new release as ‘perfection’, ‘extremely relatable f*cking banger too’, ‘gives me evanescence vibes’ 

As previously stated, the album release date is not yet with us however fans have been told its “Soon” confirmed by Oli himself the album is to be with us very soon “we can’t give it a new date yet just know its close”. Although the band haven’t given us too many spoilers of the new sound, the band have confirmed that is has emo and hardcore influences, so for all the emos out there get exited! Sykes stated in recent interviews that he was heavily influenced by the music he grew up on with mentions of Linkin Park being his first ever concert, to him gaining a love for hardcore and punk gigs like Glass Jaw and American Nightmare, alongside Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. 

“DArkside” is a mix of all BMTH yet having that heavier edge , it’s also has a hint of more electronica style , with the eerie distorted repetitive sounds , similar to the bands earlier release of “Teardrops “the catchy repeated chorus Sticks and after a few listens you are completely hooked ,the edgy yet eerie sound could be the new style of bring me and we can’t wait to see what’s to come , keep an eye out it’s all about to get crazy !
